I originally created this site simply as a place on the Web for me to post my music although it has become my main home for publishing anything that takes my fancy. Most of my other personal sites aren’t really used anymore, and at some point I will probably just merge them into this one.
I am a software professional (with rather too many years under my belt) and haven’t often been able to write about my work, for contractual reasons, or because of NDA’s that are prevalent in this industry, however I may write some technology articles from time-to-time and think this is as good a place as anywhere to put them!
My main non-professional interest is, and has always been music. As a performer, producer and engineer I’ve spent most of my free time building a home studio so I am able to write and record. I have been in many bands over the years, including The Shapes (now defunct), Manitou (now defunct), Galahad and The Strange (a long term association with a number of musicians, who never remain constant- and various other people through time, not defunct, just sleeping).
I guess there’s little chance now of me finding fame and fortune though my music, but that was never really the main reason for me doing it. If you like anything I put on this site, please feel free to copy it, pass it on to your friends, use it for your art or film projects, or whatever. All I ask is that you let me know!
